This morning we woke up to some trouble in the tank... our little crab was on it's back with it's little feet all splayed out, so we assumed it was dead. We removed it from the tank and noticed that it still moved and twitched, so we let it be for a while, just chilling in the net.
About an hour later Bryce decided it was time to return it to the water, as it was more active. We went for Elie's doctor appointment and when we returned we found this!
In case you can't make it out... there are two crabs here. Our big one is on top of our small one, who had resumed it's upside down position - apparently we have a male and a female crab and something in the air (water) told them it was mating season!
After about 20 minutes everyone is okay - right side up and back to usual...
Baby crabs anyone??

And what life lesson will you be teaching Jadon through the crabs? :)
Ha! Yeah... what lesson would you teach him?:o)
Your comment on the last tank blog totally cracked me up too:o)!! Apparently if we do get tons of babies everything I'm reading says none of them make it (unless we set up extensive baby fish nurseries... which won't happen) because they are all going to be eaten... hmmm a lesson in the making?? :o)
Love you!
